Five Senses Feast: A Whisky-Tasting Journey Like No Other

Transforming Whisky Tasting into an Immersive Experience

Glenmorangie WhiskyFest in Taipei, designed by Rong Chen and Artgital, offers a unique sensory journey that goes beyond traditional wine tasting events.

To make Glenmorangie New Lasanta stand out in the competitive Taiwanese whisky market and provide a fresh tasting experience, Glenmorangie WhiskyFest in Taipei was created. Unlike other wine tasting events, this festival features five main interactive installations and a tasting bar, engaging visitors' five senses of sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch. The goal is to transform their visit into a distinctive journey that leaves a lasting impression.

By incorporating innovative interactive devices, Glenmorangie WhiskyFest in Taipei offers a multi-sensory experience that immerses visitors in the world of whisky. A transparent touch screen and a real three-liter bottle of New Lasanta visualize the unique brewing process and craftsmanship. An audio spotlight and a huge touch-screen panel take visitors on a visual, acoustic, and historic journey. The touch of real silk, accompanied by sound effects, simulates the swirling and whirling of whisky, leaving a lingering aftertaste. Swiping the touch-screen panel reveals floating particles on the screen, highlighting the warm fragrance of New Lasanta merged with chocolate, creaming toffee, and honey dates.

The whisky tasting experience begins with appreciating the colors of the whisky. The showroom displays an interactive lighting show using whisky bottles, simulating the amber glow of New Lasanta's body color. This visual representation recounts the story of how the whisky matures for two years in sherry casks, immersing visitors in the sunshine of southern Spain.

Glenmorangie WhiskyFest in Taipei successfully conveys the soft, smooth mouthfeel and rich flavor of New Lasanta through these innovative interactive devices. By engaging the senses of sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch, visitors are fully engrossed in this whisky-tasting feast.

The success of Glenmorangie WhiskyFest in Taipei lies in its ability to create a unique and immersive whisky-tasting experience. By appealing to the five senses and incorporating interactive installations, this event sets itself apart from the competition and brings a brand-new dimension to whisky appreciation.

This exceptional design by Rong Chen and Artgital has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Event and Happening Design category in 2020.
